Social Life
St Basil's residents enjoy opportunities to either participate in the many available activities or to retreat to a place of quietness and tranquility, such as the chapel.
Residents may choose to participate in one of the regular Greek style glendi afternoons, enjoying BBQ lamb and salads with live music, or in a day out with St Basil's bus, attending a picnic, the theatre or just sight-seeing.
Our menus include regular surprises such as loukoumades (honey puffs). Our facilities are visited by a great number of volunteer guests, who come to enjoy the company of our elderly residents. Choirs and other entertainers are also regular visitors, while Greek and Australian television channels are available in residents' rooms or in the common areas.
St Basil's aims to make our residential facilities a home away from home.
