Dementia Carer Support Program

This program has been designed to assist people caring for someone from a Greek background who has Dementia. Education programs and respite for the carer have been developed to allow understanding of dementia and how to cope on a day to day basis. It provides information on other services that can assist you in your home. Every second Friday, the person with Dementia can attend our day centre at Lakemba whilst the carer has a break. The staff is fully trained and fluent in Greek. The group is small and individual activities are planned. Transport is provided. Morning/afternoon tea and a 3 course lunch are available. Respite in the home can also be organised with the Coordinator.
