St. Basils is a leader in Aged Care and we are currently seeking Part-Time staff to provide assistance to aged people in their home. You will be working with a team of dedicated staff who are focused on assisting aged people in our community to remain in their own homes.

Requirements:

* Able to perform duties efficiently and according to direction
* Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
* Current Drivers License and a car for which a mileage allowance is paid.
* Full comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
* Certificate 3 in Home and Community Care desirable but not essential
* Both Greek and English speaking staff required
* Police Criminal Record Check

Also required

Greek speaking Carers, Enrolled Nurses or Certificate 111 staff are required for our higher level Extended Aged Care at Home Programs.

Description The Miranda Day Centre offers people with dementia an opportunity to meet with other people in a relaxing atmosphere where they can join others in activities that are tailored to each individual person.

We are seeking an experienced person who can manage our day center on the following days;-
Friday - Attending meetings, assessing new clients, developing activity programs for clients and Saturday - Coordinating the Day Center and staff including hands on with clients on the day.

Essential;

Previous experience in a similar role
Experience in assessment and case management of dementia clients
Understanding of the needs of aged people living in the community
Understanding and working and experience with people who have dementia
Computer literate
Experience in networking with other community groups
Able to understand the needs of carers
Experience in staff management, rosters and performance appraisals
Previous experience in Aged care
Proven experience in designing and implementing activities for people with dementia
Police Criminal Record Check
